The webinars listed below are divided into two options: Webinars 101 - for teachers and administrators who are new to Project Success or new to working with students with significant cognitive disabilities; Webinars 102 - for teachers and administrators who have attended Project Success professional development opportunities and are familiar with working with alternate standards (Content Connectors in Indiana) to support learning for students with significant cognitive disabilities.
Webinars 101
Supporting Materials:
Participants will be able to access a master list of resources, which are age-appropriate and aligned to the alternate standards, Content Connectors in Indiana, in addition to identifying best practices when selecting curriculum aligned to alternate achievement standards.
Fall Data Review for Students with Significant Disabilities (01:01:39)
Supporting Materials:
Facilitators will discuss collecting and analyzing data to assist teachers of students with significant intellectual disabilities. The session provides practical strategies for using data to inform instruction and interventions for students, particularly during this period when many students are learning online.
Guide to the Alternate Standards, Content Connectors in Indiana, (01:03:53)

The session includes information about the Indiana alternate standards, known as Content Connectors. This session presents best practices for aligning instruction to the Content Connectors for students with significant intellectual disabilities.
Lesson Plan Development Aligned to Content Connectors (36:44)
Supporting Materials:
The session provides information around identifying best practices for lesson plan development using UDL principles and unpacking critical alternate standards (content connectors in Indiana). Participants will be able to create a lesson plan that includes access skills aligned to alternate standards as well as be able to identify and locate resources for lesson plan development.

The paraprofessional webinars listed below are a series of recordings specifically aimed to help paraprofessionals in their role supporting teachers and students in the classroom.
Understanding Culture & Bias (54:48)
This Project Success webinar is designed to provide paraprofessionals with a deeper understanding of culture, cultural identity, and explicit vs. implicit bias. Self-reflection around these topics, as well as knowledge of how these influence student behavior and student-teacher/para interventions, provides a foundation for culturally responsive practices in the classroom.
Effective Paraprofessional-Teacher Communication & Collaboration (39:46)
This second session is designed to support effective communication between paraprofessionals and teachers. Topics include different modes of communication, exploration of communication styles, and practical tools to help facilitate communication.
The third webinar in the series is designed to present the building blocks for inclusive mindset with regard to students with significant disabilities: High Expectations, Least Dangerous Assumption, and Presumed Competence.
